In 2008, I sought out to change how African American children viewed themselves through dolls, after watching the updated doll study that broke my heart. This caused me to be intentional with the design of each doll's face sculpt, skin-tone and hair texture, to make sure we created true representations of all children of color. Our goal is to ensure that all children can see their beauty, brilliance and friends reflected back during playtime. Thank you for seeing why this mission is so important and for supporting our brand.
